You will use your background working with rep agents, calling on specifiers (architects, engineers, and designers) and your knowledge of architectural lighting, controls and/or dimmers as you get your specifiers involved in our client’s projects!  You will utilize your strong relationships with key specifiers in the Northeast U.S. and will provide input on product development and give feedback to senior management on what’s happening out there.  You should also be able to be tough with agents when necessary.  You will initially focus on the New York City and Boston markets.

NATIONAL ACCOUNTS SALES MANAGER

Thursday, February 28, 2013

Our client is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated National Account Sales Manager to develop business at the national account level (retail chains, big box stores, supermarkets)---someone who creates opportunities rather than takes orders!

You will utilize your successful sales experience with lighting fixtures, controls, lamps or ballasts (possibly even refrigeration or HVAC) combined with your superior closing skills as you call on national account retail chains, big box stores and/or supermarkets and/or food and beverage/hospitality chains and develop new business in this channel.  Your relationships and experience working with VP’s of Real Estate, Directors of Construction and/or Store Design will come into play on a regular basis, also.

In addition, our ideal candidate is currently working for a distributor, ESCO, manufacturer or lighting service/maintenance company.  Customers of our client think of them as partners, not vendors and they are on the cutting edge of design (95% of their sales are through specification).  Degree is highly preferred; 60-75% travel.
