NORTHEAST REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
NATIONAL ACCOUNTS SALES REPRESENTATIVE
PRODUCT MANAGER
Our client (a well-respected manufacturer who is continuing to grow rapidly and offers a laid-back culture with high expectations) is seeking a business-savvy, outgoing, very passionate, strategic-thinking Product Line Manager to define the business plan for your product line, create (and articulate) your pricing, strategy and product roadmap to determine where your business/product is going!
You will use your experience with building automation, HVAC, lighting controls/dimmers or an ESCO (fixture and lamp backgrounds will be considered) as you talk with customers, define the financial aspects of your products and work with the operations team on the sales forecast! You will also manage the turns and inventory of your product lines, work closely with system integrators, mechanical and electrical engineers and mechanical distributors and conduct product and sales training activities from time to time.
Our ideal candidate is currently in Product Management or sales ---Regional Manager or Sales Representative (or an electrical or mechanical engineer) with a solid background in systems (not components) and strong familiarity with programs and systems. Our ideal candidate also has the ability to work effectively across teams, manage different teams that don’t report to her/him and hold regular meetings with your teams to hold them accountable! An understanding of the needs of system integrators (how they price their projects and what triggers their buying decisions) would be ideal. Degree highly preferred (engineering degree a plus, as is an MBA); 30% travel.

DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERNG
Our client is experiencing rapid growth and is looking for a hands-on Director of Engineering who has a sense of urgency that can handle a lot of latitude and “outside of the box” type projects and is willing to discuss problems openly!
You will use your experience to design, layout and construct switch mode converters (both A/C to D/C & D/C to D/C) as well as multi-layer circuit boards for LED lighting applications. You will also use your experience to write assembly and/or C code for programming controllers and oversee the growth and development of the engineering department.
Our ideal candidate could be a Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager, Senior Engineer or Chief Engineer coming from a LED lighting or semiconductor company. He/she should also have knowledge of UL and FCC processes and should be comfortable interfacing with customers and the sales team in order to help develop product the market wants. REGIONAL SALES MANAGER/NORTHEAST
Our client (a highly respected manufacturer with whom we have placed several people over the years) seeks an affable, outgoing Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast to make joint calls with and monitor your rep agent network calling on engineers and architects in the Northeast U.S., focusing the majority of your time on the Boston and Philadelphia markets!
You will use your sales experience with lighting controls, dimming (architectural and/or theatrical), motion sensors, daylighting and/or lighting fixtures, your strong technical capabilities and good administrative and planning skills as you call on specifiers and make presentations to groups of engineers.
Our ideal candidate is currently a Regional Sales Manager with a manufacturer of daylighting, motion sensors, architectural or theatrical dimming, lighting controls (and/or fixtures) calling on the specification arena (engineers and some architects), but an outstanding specification sales representative with a rep agency ready to move to the next step will be considered, also. Being a bit of a chameleon doesn’t hurt, either! Our ideal candidate currently lives in the Philly or Boston metro areas, but candidates in other parts of the Northeast will also be considered. Being able to talk with an engineer, but also being able to relate to the larger scale applications of what an architect is looking for is also important. 40% travel (if in Boston or Philadelphia); travel for candidates in other Northeast cites will be higher. Degree highly preferred (though not essential), but a BSEE is a real plus!

SALES REPRESENTATIVE/ENERGY MANAGEMENT
Our client (a company who is continuing to grow and who has a great, fast-paced culture) is seeking an entrepreneurial, positive, strategic-thinking Sales Representative to call on and sell to end users through contractors!
You will utilize your strong sales skills, resilience and deal-making ability combined with your experience selling lighting (energy efficient lamps, ballast, controls and/or fixtures) as you develop business with end users, work with contractors and help to assure turnkey install projects come together successfully and on time. You will also help continue to grow our client’s DSM business.
Our ideal candidate is currently a Sales Representative, Business Development Manager (or possibly a hands-on Regional Manager calling directly on end users) working for an ESCO, lighting contractor, lighting distributor or possibly a manufacturer of energy-efficient lighting. Our ideal candidate also must be able to strategically sell products, have an innate sense of how a project gets built and must understand an ROI sell as well as possess and understanding of an internal rate of return. You must have sold to end users through contractors and should live in the greater Philadelphia, Southern California or the Chicago area.
The ability to source rebate or grant money is a big plus! No overnight travel; degree preferred.

DIRECTOR OF SALES, NEW YORK
Our client (a definite growth company with whom we have placed people before) is looking for an aggressive, street-savvy, top-notch, hungry and flexible Director of Sales-New York to cultivate existing relationships and create new ones in the greater Manhattan/New York City area!
You will use your deep relationships with distributors, developers and contractors and your excellent follow-up while working closely with the factory and its rep agencies. You will also use your experience 'wheeling and dealing' as you close jobs utilizing your knowledge of and contacts with all the key players in the City and knowing who to call on for the right situation.
Our ideal candidate is currently a Sales Representative or Regional Manager (from a lighting manufacturer or rep agency), a lighting designer or distributor sales person (or possibly a contractor who closes the deals)! In addition, our ideal candidate lives in New York City (or has an hour or less commute), has excellent follow-up and a very positive attitude and is a 'closer'. You must know the Manhattan/NYC market extremely well, be very well-connected in the Manhattan market and be able to bring deals together! OUr client is a high-end, dynamic, quality manufacturer who offers an excellent chance for advancement, and this position reports to a very highly-respected manager in our industry. TECHNICAL SALES SPECIALIST, NEW YORK
Our client (a manufacturer with very achievable goals and a great entrepreneurial culture) is seeking a solution-oriented, ethical, and very independent Technical Sales Specialist to call on specifiers (engineers, architects and lighting designers) and manufacturers in the New York Metro area!
You will utilize your sales experience with building automation, lighting controls, motor controls, fixtures, lamps or ballasts (or an ESCO), your experience as a Sales, Applications or Consulting Engineer or Technical Sales Specialist, Specification Sales Engineer or possibly a people-oriented lighting designer along with your outstanding technical aptitude as you obtain specifications, perform back up and support work (design time), in relation to those specifications as well as spend some time at trade shows and with distributors, contractors and end users.
Our ideal candidate is currently in a technical sales, specification sales or applications/field engineer role and is currently based in NYC, NJ, Long Island or southern Connecticut. She/he must be able to perform in a consultative selling role and should enjoy being a resource to her/his customers. Must be able to sell on features/performance, not just price and must be within commutable distance of Manhattan and travel will be rare. BS/BA degree very highly preferred though not critical.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, SOUTHWEST
Our client (a respected manufacturer with an aggressive but fun culture) is seeking a passionate, driven, solution-oriented and positive Regional Sales Manager for the Southwestern US to focus on getting the top lighting designers in the region onboard!
You will use your experience as a Specification Representative or Regional Manager (an aggressive lighting designer with strong closing skills would also be considered) to hire, train and manage the rep agent network and make joint calls with those reps on top specifiers within the region as well as launch new products in the field. You will also be working directly with lighting designers a small percentage of the time so will need to be technically capable.
Our ideal candidate is currently in a sales representative (or Regional Sales Management) role and is a hunter, likes looking for business and wants to be at the top of the food chain! In addition, our ideal candidate should have a strong track record in architectural lighting fixtures and/or dimming and controls. A high comfort level working with lighting consultants and specifiers is an absolute must! BS degree highly preferred; 60-70% travel.

NATIONAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER/CENTRAL U.S.
Our client (a manufacturer whose range of performance is better than almost all of their competitors) is seeking an ambitious, self-directed, confident, entrepreneurial and very independent Regional Sales Manager to call on hospitality (and some retail) national accounts throughout Texas and the Central United States!
You will utilize your sales experience with LEDs, lamps or fixtures (possibly controls or dimmers), your experience as a National Accounts Manager, Business Development Manager or Regional Manager (with strong direct national account sales experience) and your superlative track record closing deals with end users as you develop new business with hotel chains and retail national accounts and some food and beverage chains. In addition, you will spend some time maintaining existing relationships with other hospitality and retail national account customers.
Our ideal candidate is currently a National Accounts Manager or Business Development Manager (or possibly Regional Sales Manager calling directly on end user customers) and is currently based in Texas (Dallas or Houston). However, candidates based in Chicago or other metro areas in the Central U.S. will be considered. Experience calling on national account end users is essential, but experience working with lighting distributors or national account electrical distributor chains is a big plus! Because the focus of this position is calling directly on national account end users, experience with independent rep agencies is not important for this opportunity. 60-70% travel. BS/BA degree very highly preferred (though not critical with strong national account end user experience).
