Staff Bios

Paul Pompeo

Principal with The Pompeo Group started his recruiting career with Search West, Inc. based out of California in 1986. Search West was the largest national executive search firm based on the West Coast and, at one point, employed over 100 recruiters. Paul was with the firm for over sixteen years. Paul was recognized as the Top Producer for every branch he was in for eleven of those sixteen years, including his last two years with the firm. While at Search West, Paul also shared in over six Office of the Year awards. Paul Pompeo was the only recruiter with Search West to have won Account Executive of the Year for eight consecutive years in two different offices. In March of 2003, after 36 years in business, the principals of Search West retired and ceased operations, at which point Paul founded The Pompeo Group.

In September 2004, Paul was elected as President of the Rio Grande Section of the IES http://pompeo.com/iesna.riogrande where he served as President for two one-year terms. This section had been dormant for over 10 years but quickly progressed to be one of the fastest-growing new sections in North America.  He continues to be a member of their Board of Managers and has spoken at Lightfair, Luminarias as well as at IES Section Lunch programs.  Paul has also written the Careers & Hiring column for LD+A Magazine (the leading lighting publication in North America) for the past 6 years.

Paul was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He spent over 20 years in California working in the San Francisco, Los Angeles and Orange offices of Search West before returning to New Mexico in 2001. He is married with a young son and currently resides in Albuquerque.



Mary Lindenmuth

Recruiting Director, Engineering/Manufacturing/Operations-
Mary joined The Pompeo Group in 2008. She has been a manufacturing, financial, distribution, administration and supply chain specialist since 1985. Mary spent 18 years with Search West. While there, she was the Department Manager for Manufacturing and Finance.  Mary was Account Executive of the Year for the Orange office in 1995, '96, '97, '98, 2000, and 2001 and was a member of the President's Club.  From 2003 through 2007, Mary was with XEC Solutions.

  

Brandon Cordray

Recruiter Associate -
Prior to joining The Pompeo Group as a Recruiter Associate, Brandon worked for Dynamic Enterprises supervising demonstrations and sales and distributing certified air cleaners and filtration products throughout New Mexico.  Upon graduating high school, Brandon proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 6 years in the field of Aerospace Maintenance and Operations and became a decorated veteran.

Brandon is pursuing a BS in Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in aircraft safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  In his free time, Brandon enjoys golfing, fishing and playing with his dogs.



Brian Ortiz

Recruiter Associate -
Prior to joining The Pompeo Group as a Recruiter Associate, Brian was involved with a local real estate firm where he took on the role as a recruiter, marketing director and Director of Business Development.  In less than two years, he successfully recruited over 40 agents to become the fourth largest independent real estate company in Albuquerque and helped grow the real estate firm from one to four offices thorughout the state of New Mexico.  Before joining the private sector, Brian was employed with the Department of Interior-Fish and Wildlife Service as a Fisheries Biologist.

Brian graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelors of Science.  As a life long resident of New Mexico, he enjoys spending time with his family, as well as helping others achieve their goals.

 

Brenda K. Johnston

Office Manager
Brenda joined The Pompeo Group in 2008 and brings 9 years of Human Resources Management and 20+ years office management experience to our group. Brenda has experience in the renewable energy, manufacturing and telecommunications industries where she held HR and office management positions. She acquired her Certificate in Human Resources Management from the Robert O. Anderson Business School at the University of New Mexico.
